Space and time
Captain speaking:
As the universe expands through space and time, we take part in the journey to pitch the peace tent in Berlin. First we need the campground for our boat Alexander von Humboldt II. But we also need a solid foundation to erect our tent poles. It needs to be solid and well secured with robes and hooks. On our soil. Each person needs to agree and hold one rope to keep it up and stable. While the wind of time and the forces of time will pull on its foundations. Good luck on this mission impossible “the difficult we do at once, the impossible takes a bit longer”. But we have a good ship and we are good sailors. Ahoi.

2023/06/19: Arbeitskreis
The AK Berliner Friedenskonferenz had its 11th meeting since it started its work on June 6th 2022. Again in the room of the BIS - Berliner Institut für Sozialwissenschaften. Europe is still divided and it’s painful. Our ability to bridge different views and conflict partners is very very limited. What is the purpose of our work?
A paper on the basics of peaceful conflict resolution in Europe “Bedingungen der Möglichkeit für das Zustandekommens eines Agreements von Konfliktparteien”. We provide a scope.
A pre-conference this year to bring together experts that share their views on what matters. We ask the questions.
A small conference / lecture series “summer university” that addresses the topic

2023-05-23: Kulturstaatsministerium
Another ship and conference room, this time closer to Potsdamer Platz. Gregor Kollmorgen and Stella Weiss (Kulturstaatsministerin, BKM) listen to our ideas.
Kultur - we are in Germany - it matters and would get the BKM more involved than mere “politics”
It would be cool to see people and organizations such as the Förderverein Berliner Schloss to open up for a wider space to support not stones but content and dialogue in the building.
Did we get in touch with the Auswärtige Amt (AA) — ähhh, hmmm, not yet. We should do it.
At the end the HuFo will decide.
Our strategy to overcome the impossible. Or are you also part of the 99% claiming: World Peace will never happen!? You are right, but what is time?
2023-05-02: Kanzleramt
We didn’t know what to expect as we entered Germany’s main ship “Kanzleramt” even though one member of our group, Manfred Rettig, helped building the house back in the days. It turned out, the view from the meeting room is nice. The chef of the Chancellery Wolfgang Schmidt listened to our idea of opening the Humboldt-Forum to a wider range of topics that are leading to a better partnership (goal #17) to reach the SDGs, including an annually Berlin Peace Conference.
Get in tough with Auswärtigem Amt.
Get your okay from the Humboldt-Forum.
